Brady Quinn looked good in his NFL debut and the Browns fans that were “killing” him just a couple of weeks ago are now “jocking” him saying he should be the starter…not happening! Look…he was nice…against some “third stringers”…he did show some poise, and better that he was hitting guys between the numbers and not chucking it all over the yard but he did it against scrubs and with a very limited playbook. And don’t tell me that he had “third stringers” on his side so it doesn’t matter….it does! I like the guy a lot, but this doesn’t change anything. He’s not ready! He’s still way behind! And he’s not your starter…not yet anyway!
The one thing I can say about him, is at least he didn’t get booed off the field like Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson. So that’s nice…nice to see you’ve been in the weight room. You check the “pipes” on this “cat”? Bro, you’re in the NFL, not the strong man competition! You just need to get it down field, not win the 50 yard dash with a Subaru on your back! I like a Q.B. who can take a pounding, but I don’t need to see you throwing “kegs of beer” over the “high jump bar” like all those other “freaks” in the “strongman competition”! Dial it down, bro! Mix in some pilates or something! Look, we all want to be on the cover of “Men’s Fitness”…but mix in some Yoga!

Don't hate because you guys aren't as ripped and as powerful as Quinn. He's the most ripped guy in the history of the NFL and I don't think he gets enough credit for that. People need to take more notice to it and honor it. It's easy to throw a touchdown, but not as easy to get abs like that.

Actually, I hear that Quinn is trying to slim down a bit for next season. I guess he's taking Rome's advice to heart! It's a waste of time for a QB to be in the weight room that much when he could be on the field or studying tape. Besides, even if Quinn were 25 pounds lighter he would still be the buffest QB in the league.
